Alternative Title: Keep Taking The Pomegranates

There has been suspicion that a Doctor's motives were purely financial following the news that a top British supermarket has opened an after hours surgery.
The pilot scheme was rolled out at a Manchester branch of the Sainsbury supermarket store. But already there are allegations of sleaze as it is reported that one patient who visited the in-store surgery suffering from a verruca was prescribed a packet of frozen chicken nuggets and a pot noodle with the advise to take them twice a day for a week. And then the doctor pressurised 82–year old Mrs. Sally Swainsthorpe to give up her Nectar loyalty card points.
A survey carried out by Offbeat Chronicles shows that the majority of people questioned liked the doctor’s offbeat style and jokey manner, although one pregnant woman seeking advice called the doctor insensitive.
A spokesman for the supermarket (Mr. Timothy Smallsworthy) who wishes to remain anonymous said that the company took all such claims very seriously.
With rumours flying of gross misconduct and stories of prescriptions being handed out for pasta poultices, anti-ageing soft cheese spread and olive suppositories, the General Medical Council has taken immediate action by barring the GP from the delicatessen counter.
